RUN WALK TALK HELPS YOU MOVE FORWARD

Combining Running and walking with talk therapy or Coaching, Run WALK TALK Sessions are designed to help people heal and grow.

Run Walk Talk was created to help people who struggle in traditional therapy sessions, which are typically held indoors with the therapist and patients seated in an office setting.

In contrast, Run Walk Talk sessions bring movement into the therapy and coaching relationship, with the practitioner and the patient or client moving forward together, side by side, often outdoors in natural settings like the beach or running trails.

This collaborative, dynamic way of working helps the patient or client notice sensations in their body that they may be cut off from otherwise, which can then help them to understand and shift their thinking and emotions. The Run Walk Talk practitioner helps the patient or client become more aware of how they are moving their body and connect to whether that’s helpful or comfortable for them. And the forward motion of running and walking soothe the fear centers of the brain and help the patient or client feel safe, even as they are talking about past events that may have made them feel scared or traumatized.
